About Women's Summer Solstice

The Women’s Summer Solstice is an annual event created in response to one woman’s vision that she chose to share with her sisters. This event is produced entirely through volunteer efforts of women who believe in the value of creating safe and sacred space for women to gather, learn, play, and celebrate the joy of living in peace together.

Two thousand and nine marks the 22nd year of this gathering's herstory. The retreat offers workshops, a marketplace full of crafts created by our sisters, a labyrinth, sweat lodge, Moon Lodge, access to the healing talents among the community members, rituals to celebrate the height of the Solstice season and of course, lots of FUN!

Women of all traditions are welcome and diversity is honored in our community. Whether you are attending the gathering for the first time, participating in planning future events, seeking healing, or contributing in a way that is unique to you, we welcome you as a member of the Women of Summer Solstice.

Our vision statement

We support the empowerment of women from birth to death
through education and experience, self-discovery and growth,
and provide opportunity by listening and witnessing without judgment.

We invite women to participate in a feminine--centered, non-hierarchical community
to connect with and celebrate the divine feminine in earth-based ways.

We create sacred space that promotes common welfare
by being respectful and holding ourselves and others as capable and accountable.
We act with integrity in word and deed,
and are deeply respectful and trusting of The Mystery.
